This Privacy Policy describes how TableForge ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our Shopify app and related services. By installing or using TableForge, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide and improve the TableForge service. This includes:

Store Information

Table Content

Usage Data

2. How We Use Data

The data we collect is used exclusively to operate and improve TableForge. Specifically, we use your data to:

Deliver the Service: Store and render your tables on your storefront. Sync data from Google Sheets and write tables to Shopify pages, products, and collections.
Provide Support: Diagnose issues, respond to support requests, and troubleshoot problems using store and usage data when you give us permission.
Improve the App: Analyze aggregate, anonymized usage patterns to prioritize features and fix bugs. We never sell or share individual usage data with third parties.
Send Service Communications: Notify you of important changes to the app, pricing, or this privacy policy via email. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
Comply with Legal Obligations: Retain records as required by applicable law, respond to lawful requests from authorities, and protect the rights of our users and our company.

3. Data Storage & Security

Where your data is stored

TableForge stores all app data on servers located in the United States, hosted on industry-standard cloud infrastructure (currently AWS). Your Shopify access tokens and table configurations are stored in encrypted form at rest using AES-256 encryption.

How long we retain data

We retain your store data for as long as your TableForge installation is active. If you uninstall the app, we delete all associated store data within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal compliance purposes.

Security measures

  • All data transmission is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher
  • Access tokens are encrypted at rest and never logged in plaintext
  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Shopify OAuth 2.0 protocol used for authentication — we never store your Shopify admin password

Note: While we implement industry-standard security practices, no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to contact us immediately at privacy@tableforge.app if you believe your data has been compromised.
